COVID-19 Update

The chicken meat industry has a critical role to play in putting food on the table of Australians across the country. As such, the Australian Chicken Meat Federation Inc. (ACMF) is providing ongoing assistance and advice to its members to safeguard the future supply of chicken meat to Australian families. Australians can rest assured that there will be a plentiful supply of chicken over our festive season.

The industry recognises that the health and safety of its workforce is paramount and must be its first and foremost responsibility. We are prioritising the health and well-being of the industry’s workforce and working with companies to ensure that practices and contingency measures are in place to protect employees, their families and the broader community.

It is important to know that there is no evidence that chickens, or chicken meat, are in any way involved in the transmission of COVID-19.

We commend the exemplary, ongoing efforts made by our members and their supply chain partners who are also affected at this very difficult time.
